  • B.Ed. University of Alberta in 1978
  • M.A in English Literature from the University of Victoria in 1985
  • Ph.D in English Literature and Film Studies from the University of Alberta in 2004


I taught in the English Department at MacEwan University from 1985 until my retirement in 2012.

My area of specialization is Canadian Literature. My M.A thesis was on the novels of Alberta author, Robert Kroetsch. My doctoral dissertation was on the short fiction of Nobel prize winner, Alice Munro. I have also published articles/reviews on the works of Canadian writers P. K. Page and Ethel Wilson.
