Kelly Kaur has a Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education, Singapore. She, also, has a B.A. in English with Honours and a Masters of Arts in English from the University of Calgary. She has been teaching at Mount Royal University since 1991. Kelly was the Director of the Learning Centre at St. Mary's University College. She was, also, the Chair of Arts and an online instructor and trainer at the University of Phoenix, Calgary. In 2017, Kelly represented Alberta and Saskatchewan at the 2017 World Toastmasters’ International Speech Competition. Her poems and works have been published in Sanscrit, West Coast, Singa , CBC, Mothering, An Anthology, YYC Pop and New Asian Short Stories Anthology. She was a 2019 Borderlines Writers’ Circle participant through Writers’ Guild Alberta and Alexandra Writers’ Centre in Calgary. She is working on her first novel, Letters to Singapore.
