I have an Honours B.A. in English and an M.A. in English from the University of Calgary. I also have a Master of Theological Studies degree (with distinction) from Newman Theological College in Edmonton. I am the co-author of two widely used writing texts: Forms of Writing and Essay Writing for Canadian Students. I retired from Grant MacEwan University in 2010 as associate head of the English Department after teaching there since 1973. I have been an English tutor with AU since 1986 and presently tutor six different English courses. I have also been involved with writing the study guides for several English courses at AU including English 155, English 255, and English 395. I enjoy writing, learning, and teaching and have found working with AU students especially rewarding.
